What you’ll do
- Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Developers and Data Engineers to understand, design and improve data platform capabilities
- Build and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines, ETL and ELT processes
- Architect, build and optimize cloud data platform foundation
- Architect, build and optimize machine learning and AI based services
- Integrate and manage diverse data sources
- Mentor and lead junior engineers
- Lead design and implementation of best practices
Your profile
What you bring
- 5 - 10 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer, Data or Analytical Engineer
- Strong craftsmanship in Python and SQL
- Experience owning/maintaining/improving analytical data modeling practices using tools like dbt
- Experience owning/maintaining/improving ETL processes,
- Very good database knowledge (database design and programming), e.g. PostgreSQL
- Practical knowledge of the Azure data stack is highly beneficial (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, etc.)
What will make you stand out
- Familiarity with Microservice paradigms and related technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker and REST API’s
- Proficiency in Apache Kafka and Apache Flink
- 1-2 years of hands-on production grade Snowflake experience including architecture design, query and cost monitoring and optimization
- Experience with development and deployment of machine learning and AI models
