What you’ll do

 

  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Tech Leads, Developers and Data Engineers to understand, design and improve data platform capabilities
  • Build and optimize robust, scalable data pipelines, ETL and ELT processes
  • Architect, build and optimize cloud data platform foundation
  • Architect, build and optimize machine learning and AI based services
  • Integrate and manage diverse data sources
  • Mentor and lead junior engineers
  • Lead design and implementation of best practices
Your profile

What you bring 

 

  • 5 - 10 years of experience as a Data Platform Engineer, Data or Analytical Engineer
  • Strong craftsmanship in Python and SQL
  • Experience owning/maintaining/improving analytical data modeling practices using tools like dbt
  • Experience owning/maintaining/improving ETL processes,
  • Very good database knowledge (database design and programming), e.g. PostgreSQL
  • Practical knowledge of the Azure data stack is highly beneficial (Azure Data Lake, Databricks, Data Factory, etc.) 

What will make you stand out

 

  • Familiarity with Microservice paradigms and related technologies, such as Kubernetes, Docker and REST API’s 
  • Proficiency in Apache Kafka and Apache Flink
  • 1-2 years of hands-on production grade Snowflake experience including architecture design, query and cost monitoring and optimization
  • Experience with development and deployment of machine learning and AI models
